OUR STORY AT CAFÉ WIEN

Café Wien was founded on April 20, 1974, in the heart of Playa del Inglés, when María Amrhein opened the doors of a small café with a very clear idea: to offer quality coffee and handmade cakes prepared using traditional German recipes. From the very first day, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and homemade pastries turned the café into a special place, meant to be enjoyed without rush.

Over the years, Café Wien grew alongside its customers, expanding its space and creating its own bakery, where cakes were prepared every morning and soon became essential for several generations. The café evolved into a meeting place not only for the German community, but for everyone seeking a warm, authentic, and welcoming atmosphere.

In 1986, Wolfgang Dann joined the team and gradually learned every aspect of the business, from service to the art of pastry making. His dedication, perseverance, and love for the craft marked a key chapter, keeping the essence of Café Wien alive and caring for every detail as if it were the first day.

Today, more than five decades later, Café Wien remains a place where tradition, a passion for craftsmanship, and the shared history with its customers are present in every cup of coffee and every cake served.
